      Student Placements

If you are a student looking to undertake a placement at an agency, the Women's Council for Domestic & Family Violence Services (WA) does take students from time to time. Placements are a great way to receive experience in the workforce and also provide advancements in your qualification if field placements are a required unit of study.

You do not have to be student with a social work, psychology, or social justice background to get a placement. Although we do take students that study in these areas, we also take students from the fields of Commerce/Business, Law, Political Science, Communications & Media, and more...

Examples of what past students have undertaken include:

      • Filming and editing footage of the Annual Domestic Violence Silent March

      • 2014 review (20th Anniversary) of the 1994 Chief Justice’s Gender Bias Taskforce Report

      • Writing articles for the Child Adovcate Newsletter

      • Presenting at conferences on research projects

      • Consulting with children and young people in refuges
