      Reports

       

      Each report has been wirtten by the Keeping Kids Safe project officer and details various areas related to refuge work with children and young people, such as; the types of programs child-specific refuge staff use with their clients, the number of young clients in refuge over a six month period, the demographics of young clients, mother:child ratios, comparisons between the Child Advocate role and the Child Support Role, etc.

      A survey of 10 WA Refuges to determine trends in children and young people accessing refuge services with their mother/carer based on the SHIP data reported to the DCPFS.

      A survey of 17 WA Refuges to determine trends in children and young people accessing refuge services with their mother/carer based on the SHIP data reported to the DCPFS.

      A survey of 10 WA Refuges to determine trends in children and young people accessing refuge services with their mother/carer based on the SHIP data reported to the DCPFS.

      Child Advocates & Child Support Workers
      Working with Children & Young People in Western Australian Refuges 2014

      A comparative analysis between the role of Child Advocates and Child Support Workers in Western Australian refuge services. This report details the results from a state-wide consultation with Child Advocate and Child Support Worker staff to identify key areas of difference in service provision for children and young people accessing Refuges in Western Australia. It also compares data collected from 2009 to the current 2014 study.

      To inform the development of the KKS project Child Support Workers and Child Advocates were surveyed in order to obtain insight to the nature of child focused work within the Refuges (job role, qualifications, number of hours worked etc.), resources at hand and issues and challenges.
